Theory: Are The Dimensions Connected?

As fans of this blog will know, the Box Dimension is far from the only dimension in Club Penguin. At the April Fools’ Parties of 2011 and 2012, several box portals were opened revealing gateways to even wackier dimensions.

These dimensions are all clearly different, each treating the laws of physics and physical dimensions differently. Even so, they may not actually be as separate as they appear. It’s possible that all of these dimensions are very much connected.

Theorizing Time

This idea first came to me when I discovered what I’m going to be calling the “Spy Phone Dimension”. This dimension was revealed in field-op #75 (during the April Fools’ Day Party of 2012), when Rookie travels through a box portal and ends up in your Spy Phone. He warns you not to hang up, before wishing you a “Happy April Fool’s” and leaving again.

In Rookie's exact words:
"Whoa! What the? How did I get in here? It looks like I'm stuck in someone's Spy Phone. Cool! Whoever this is, please don't hang up yet! I'm looking for a portal out… Okay, I found one! Happy April Fool's!"

While on the surface level this may just seem like another dimension to add to the list, the Spy Phone Dimension is truly something special. This dimension, rather than being completely separate, is actually within a separate dimension itself. When Rookie appears in your phone, he’s not just inside the Spy Phone Dimension, but also inside the Dessert Dimension (as that’s where your spy phone is when the field-op ends).

We can take this a step further and assume that, since the Spy Phone Dimension is always inside your phone, it’s also inside whatever dimension your phone is in. This means that the Spy Phone Dimension isn’t in a set dimension, but rather can drift between them – it’s simply located wherever your spy phone is.

This is a major leap in our understanding of dimensions as, in the past, they’ve always been perceived as completely separate. The next step is to reexamine the other dimensions for other potential crossovers, starting with the Doodle Dimension.

The Doodle Dimension is a strictly two-dimensional world: it takes place on a single sheet of paper and anything that enters the dimension either transforms into a 2D doodle or simply disappears. Despite these facts, a number of giant, 3D art utensils can be seen scattered around the sketchpad that contains the dimension. This implies that the Doodle Dimension itself is actually within a much bigger, 3D dimension (just like the Spy Phone Dimension)

The puffle doodle at the top right of the world may also suggest that the sketchpad itself is located somewhere in Club Penguin’s dimension. Presumably, just like the Spy Phone Dimension, this dimension is linked to the object it takes place on and is thus able to drift through dimensions depending on where the physical sketchpad is actually located.

But there are more dimensions that aren’t quite what they seem at a first glance. Let’s look to the Space Dimension. This Dimension features an empty night sky, encouraging you to put the stars and planets up there yourself.

There are five unique planets that you can put in the sky, none of which are exclusive to this dimension. At some point in the past, present or future, each of these planets has been spotted in Club Penguin’s sky. While you could say that this is a very lucky coincidence, it’s more likely that the two dimensions aren’t actually different dimensions at all, just different spaces within the same dimension.

Although not linked to Club Penguin’s dimension, there are a few other dimensions that could be connected. It was noted a while back that the Dessert Dimension and the Cream Soda Dimension seem to share quite a few similarities. Alongside the obvious fact that both dimensions are mostly made up of giant food/drink, they also share a similarly coloured sky and have evidence of both a regular sized and giant sized society.

Note: The penguin-sized candy store and the giant spoon
Note: The penguin-sized holes in the barrels and the giant, half-empty cream soda bottles.

However, I would suggest that there’s actually a third dimensional crossover here: the Orange Puffle Dimension. Not only does it actually rain cookies in this dimension, but it also appears to be situated in the middle of a sea of orange soda (matching the theme set by the other two dimensions). It seems the Orange Puffle Dimension is located just beyond the horizon of the Cream Soda Dimension as the ocean there rapidly changes from hot pink to orange in the distance.

And finally we have the Silly Dimension and the Strange Dimension. With similar names, these two dimensions both have floating doors that lead to completely different locations, a ridiculous sense of time, impossibly floating platforms, flying inanimate objects that seem to have a mind of their own and checkered floors. The dimensions also have near-identical skies.

While the landscape is more grassy and hilly in the Strange Dimension, there is a lone mountain in the distance. The environment of this dimension also changes very suddenly, as shown by the desert portion to the left, so it’s very possible that there’s a snowy clearing somewhere that houses the Silly Dimension.

So in the end, rather than fourteen dimensions, we end up with just eight (and two sub-dimensions). The diagram below shows the relationships between these dimensions a bit more clearly.

But what do you think? Are there any dimensions that I’ve missed? How do you think they all relate? Let me know your thoughts down below, and until next time,
